Note that every row save the bottom two are sourced from the NPD Group's TRST system, which (as of February 2002) only covered 22 retailers[note 1] that accounted for around 55-60% of the market.[9] Therefore, it does not account for sales made outside these specific stores (notably including Walmart, who pulled out of the system in July 2001 and would not return until July 2011).
