SimCity 2000

SimCity 2000 is a city-building simulation game by Maxis, and the first direct successor to SimCity. Originally released for the Macintosh, MS-DOS and, a little later, other home computers, it would eventually be ported to popular consoles.

- Macintosh, developed in-house at Maxis. Available early November 1993.[1]
- Japanese version localised by Imagineer, released at roughly the same time.
- Scenarios Vol. I: Great Disasters expansion pack, available by mid-1994.
- MS-DOS, developed in-house at Maxis. Mastered on December 29th, 1993.[2] Available January 7th, 1984.[3][4][5]
- Scenarios Vol. I: Great Disasters expansion pack, available by mid-1994.
- SimCity 2000 Special Edition, with scenario pack 1, new music, new cities, and FMVs of Will Wright. Version currently available on GOG.
- Commodore Amiga, ported by John Jones-Steele. Released November 1994.
- RISC-OS, ported by Krisalis Software. Released 1994.

- Windows 3.1, developed in-house at Maxis. Released February 1995.
- SimCity 2000 CD Collection, with scenario pack 1, bonus cities and SCURK included.
- SimCity 2000 Special Edition, with scenario pack 1, new music, new cities/scenarios, and FMVs of Will Wright.
- Windows 95. Compared to the MS-DOS version, higher resolution, smoother scrolling, extra game speed setting, customisable interface.
- SimCity 2000 CD Collection, with scenario pack 1, bonus cities and SCURK included.
- SimCity 2000 Special Edition, with scenario pack 1, new music, new cities/scenarios, and FMVs of Will Wright.
- SimCity 2000 Network Edition, with improved multiplayer and a new interface.
- SNES
- Sega Saturn, ported by Maxis and Sega. One of the titles announced for the Saturn at its unveiling at the Tokyo Toy Show in June 1994. Released September 1995 in Japan, October in North America, and December in Europe.
- OS/2
- PlayStation
- Nintendo 64, ported by Imagineer. Released January 30, 1998. Japan-exclusive. Exclusive features, including "mini-games, a dating game, TV to replace the newspaper, horse races and monster breeding". Not to be confused with SimCity 64, another game based on SimCity 2000.
- Game Boy Advance, ported by DSI (Destination Software). Released November 2003 in Europe and North America; seemingly not released in Japan.
