RETAILERS TAKE THE WHEEL AS INFOGRAMES' 'DRIVER 2' VIDEO GAME ACHIEVES PHENOMENAL PRE-ORDERS

U.S. Retail Sell-In Climbs to More Than One Million Units; Anxiously Awaited Game Ships November 14

NEW YORK, NY, September 27, 2000 - Heralding in one of the most anticipated video games of the year, Infogrames, Inc. (Nasdaq: GTIS) today announced that it has received retail orders for its Driver 2 video game in excess of million units in the U.S. alone. Driver 2 looks to duplicate the success of its predecessor, Driver, which shipped last July and to date, has sold more than four millions units worldwide.

"There is no doubt that consumer enthusiasm continues to grow for Driver 2 and we are excited at the significant level of commitment at the retail level," said Martin Currie, Director of Marketing for Infogrames. "With an established and dedicated fan base, we hope to take Driver 2 even further into the mass market via a comprehensive marketing campaign that includes a movie trailer-style TV spot, and promotional tie-ins with leading beverage and apparel companies."

Infogrames is supporting Driver 2 with an aggressive, multi-million dollar marketing campaign that features an exciting :60 commercial airing nationwide on network and cable TV; a far-reaching print campaign targeting video game magazines as well as such mainstream publications as MAXIM and Stuff; and an online marketing push that includes a dedicated Driver 2 web site located at http://www.driver2.com/.

In addition, Infogrames has secured innovative cross-promotions with Diesel, Yahoo and Mountain Dew, to name just a few, as well as formulated a comprehensive retail campaign that includes a variety of point-of-purchase materials, including Driver 2 standees, hanging banners, static cling window displays, counter cards and posters.

Developed by Reflections Interactive and shipping November 14, Driver 2 for the PlayStation® game console will be available nationwide for a suggested retail price of 49.95. For more information, go to www.driver2.com on the Web.
