Playtime was a game released by Midway Mfg in 1974. It's a variation on the game Pong with a number of enhancements. Each player controls their paddle via a joysticks which allows them to move in eight directions around the screen, which hadn't been seen in prior games of its type. Each player's score would vanish after it incremented as to allow players more space on the board for the ball to run. A serving player, the loser of the last point, would receive a ball after remaining stationary. Finally, a button on the cabinet could increase the base speed of the ball.
