Goal/4
From Videogame Morgue File
Goal/4 was a cocktail table game released by Atari Inc in 1975, a Pong-style take on the gamer of football. The game could be played by 1, 2, or four players and controlled via potentiometers cut into wooden holes within the cabinet.
Gameplay[edit]
The game is similar to Pong Doubles but with three sets of paddles. On the respective team's side of the screen, they control one goalie and two defensive paddles. On the opposing side of the screen there are two forwards - controlled by the additional players if more than two are part of the game. It is possible for a paddle to hold or "catch" the ball momentarily. Each team's goal is to reach either eleven or fifteen points - set by the operator using a dip switch.
