Welcome to the wiki, and thanks for your contributions!

Odd that those files won't thumbnail properly; first thought was that we're out of disk space, but that's nowhere near the case. I haven't seen this before and I'll look into it when I have the chance. Sorry about that.

Think I fixed it. --MorgueFile (talk) 10:45, 10 January 2022 (CET)
Thank you very much for the welcome and your help! The Edge PDF is working now, though the two PNGs still don't quite load correctly. This appears to be a separate issue; they don't appear at all as thumbnails, and when viewed in full they load normally before suddenly disappearing seconds after the entire image is done. I don't know if it's related to their file size or relatively large dimensions - one is 1,631 × 2,157 pixels, while the other is a hefty 4,034 × 2,500. This is admittedly grasping at straws, but I honestly can't think of any other reasons why these particular PNGs would have trouble displaying properly when other (smaller) PNGs on the site work fine. I can't recreate those problems myself, but I put both files through a (lossless) optimiser and reuploaded them; whether that'll make a difference I'm not sure. No idea why they're proving so troublesome. --MorgueFile (talk) 08:42, 11 January 2022 (CET)
Unfortunately, on my end, both files still have the same loading issue even after being optimized. I appreciate your help, but I may just convert them to JPGs and see if they display properly then. Somewhere (talk) 01:49, 12 January 2022 (CET)
Update: no dice. I tried uploading the two ads again as both JPGs and PDFs, but they still will not display on the wiki. The JPGs (Brazilian ad, Japanese ad) suffer the exact same problem as the original PNGs - they don't appear at all as thumbnails, but will load when viewed at full res before suddenly disappearing as soon as they're done. The PDF conversions (Brazilian ad, Japanese ad) at least load properly when viewed in full directly, but they won't load when put in a gallery. There's not even any error messages - just blank space where they should be. I'm honestly at a loss about what to do at this point or why these specific files are having so much trouble. I even considered uploading them as TIFFs or use a different image-editing program to re-export them to PNG or something, but I didn't want to risk adding yet more digital detritus to the site. Apologies for all the trouble. Somewhere (talk) 03:13, 12 January 2022 (CET)
