* Many sources report the fact that Ulala presented the MTV Video Music Award for Best Dance Video in 2000 as a promotion for ''Space Channel 5'' and the Dreamcast. This did not happen (the category was presented by The Rock and Kid Rock), though it was widely reported that it would. The reports were based on a misreading of Sega's press release.<br>The announcement actually said that Ulala would feature in the ''promotional campaign'' for the awards: a trailer showcasing nominees in the Best Dance Video category that would be aired fifty times in the run-up to the awards. (Other spots featured different categories and celebrities.)<br>This commercial, which would likely have aired on MTV in the first week of September 2000, has not been found.

  • Many sources report the fact that Ulala presented the MTV Video Music Award for Best Dance Video in 2000 as a promotion for Space Channel 5 and the Dreamcast. This did not happen (the category was presented by The Rock and Kid Rock), though it was widely reported that it would. The reports were based on a misreading of Sega's press release.
